I am Vernon Noel, Director of Vernscape Ltd. I am passionate about assisting children, young people and families to reach their potential.
Having started out with a computer interest early in my career, my satisfaction soon waned although the bills were being paid. I desired to find the missing element in my life. I found that in meeting the felt needs of others, there was more satisfaction.
I returned to university, completed a thoroughly enjoyable social work qualification that took me to the USA and the Netherlands and then returned to the USA to work for 2 years with very challenging young people.
The skills that I have learnt and developed over the subsequent years have fortified me in my approach with my clients. I have gained experience with Local Authority child protection, fostering, youth justice and asylum seeking children teams and schools.
In addition to providing that much needed service to clients with presenting behavioural issues, I am also a qualified practice assessor for the social work training programme. I am skilled in the use of low ropes courses and team building games.
My leisure life is enriched with athletic successes having completed 6 marathons in ten years despite never running before turning 40! I am a keen cyclist, percussion player and avid camper. This all has to fit in around my family comprising of my wife and 2 daughters.
My voluntary time is spent with my church every weekend and the Pathfinder Club as a co-ordinator of youth activities and leadership training skills.
I have learnt that there is much to achieve in life, and if there is to be a way to achieve it, there must be a plan and support for that plan.
Our focus is on providing practical skills that can be used to solve real problems and can be applied to new situations. We have extensive experience in providing courses in the areas of Personal Development, Interpersonal Development, Professional Development, Individual and Local Authority work.
